Data downloads
The whole ledger, rebuilt every night as plain files, so nobody has to depend on this site to keep a copy. Flat tables are gzipped CSV; project versions and changes are gzipped JSON lines, one record per line. A manifest lists row counts and checksums.

How the files fit together
Start from observations: one row per dataset per crawl with the file's sha256 fingerprint. file_versions maps each fingerprint to the project versions it contained, and project_versions holds each version's parsed fields. project_changes is the diff between consecutive versions with severity, details and the model summary. Any file version can be fetched exactly as stored from /v1/files/<sha256>.
Retention
The last seven nightly dumps and the first dump of every month stay online. Older dumps are kept in cold storage and can be requested.
Licence
Source data is published by each organisation to the IATI Registry under its own open licence (most commonly CC-BY); attribution to the original publisher is required. The ledger's own record (observations, fingerprints, change events, summaries) is released under CC-BY 4.0: use it freely, cite OpenAid Ledger (https://openaidledger.org).
